New design: The Di-vine Scarf

I have published a new scarf pattern, and it uses the new distitch created by Assia Brill. She has a book out called Distitch https://assiabrill.com/knitting-2/distitch/ where she uses her own invented technique to add extra texture. I tried it on a selvedge and loved it so much that I used it on a scarf pattern too.

The pattern is called The Di-vine Scarf because it uses the distich.

I provide two types of yarn in the instructions. With the chunky yarn, you can use two different colourways for some variation.

With the Stylecraft yarn, one ball of 100g was enough.

But as always, with scarves, you can just keep knitting, assuming you have enough yarn. I found the distich very satisfying as a texture. It’s quite dense but not as annoying as the herringbone to knit.

The pattern begins with garter stitch, transitions into a distitch rip and then back to garter stitch at the back. The variation and the distitch provide a lovely thick texture.

You can buy it from Ravelry at the following link: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-di-vine-scarf .
